Julie Lazonby

...is our church secretary and is the one who generally answers the phone, responds to emails and tries to co-ordinate church life so that we all know what's happening.  Julie loves having the shortest travelling time to the office of anyone she knows, and if you can't find her at the Hub, she's usually gone swimming - another joy of flexible working!

Julie and Norman have two grown-up children: Gillian lives in Nottingham, but David, his wife Beccy and baby Rosie still think that there's no place like Aberdeen.

Mark Bairstow

Mark Bairstow

Born and raised in Kent, Mark moved to Nottingham in 1986 to work for Boots, thinking he'd be staying here a couple of years. Twenty five years later and he's still here! Mark joined Ruddington Baptist Church in 1987 and has worked with various youth and children's projects over a number of years as well as using his accounting background to be church treasurer and more recently, external overseer of the church accounts. Mark recently remarried and now has five boys.  He joined the leadership team of the church in 2008.

Chris Greenhalgh Chris Greenhalgh

Chris moved to Ruddington in 1994 with his wife Vanessa, and they now have four children to help keep them busy. He is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham and a member of Christians in Science. Chris has served on the leadership team for about 10 years. He doesn't know the answers to lots of questions about life, faith, the church and the world. So, with the grace of God, he keeps on asking questions, listening, thinking, praying and doing what he can to build God's kingdom.

She's just acquired a set of drums (so starting a girl-band may be just around the corner) and has been involved in a variety of projects over the past year or so.  She's passionate about discovering more of God and helping others see His relevance to their lives.

Norman Lazonby                                                                    NormanJuly2010

Norman joined RBC in 2005, after a dramatic conversion experience in his car on the way to Manchester. Ask him about it sometime!

Norman is passionate about the Bible and - having experienced it first-hand -  about how God's word can transform people's lives. He joined the leadership team in 2010 and is currently training to be a lay preacher with the Baptist Union.  He also leads a housegroup, and has a keen interest in issues of poverty and injustice. Outside the church, Norman is a  chartered accountant with  Deloitte. He's also a keen squash player, and enjoys all kinds of puzzles and games.
