The Honeycomb is Ruddington's Christian charity shop, staffed by helpers from several local churches, and you'll find it on Church street opposite the cenotaph.  The image of a honeycomb, made up of lots of hexagonal cells all joined together, is such an apt description of this shop:  With God in the centre of life, and around 50 people connected to God and each other, all working in many different ways, the Honeycomb is a hive of activity!

Honeycomb from jewellers

The variety of goods you'll find in the Honeycomb is almost endless : good-quality second-hand clothes, household articles, toys, jewellery, books, haberdashery, new Bibles, bible-reading notes, books, greeting cards, plus a selection of craft items, tea, coffee, sweets, sugar etc from Traidcraft, a Christian organisation that helps people living in poorer countries through fair-trade and economic justice.

Behind the scenes, the Honeycomb quietly reaches out to help many other people and agencies by efficient recycling of your unwanted items!  Suitable clothing and goods are given to relief agencies like Rough Sleepers and the Friary Drop-in Centre, and parcels of specific clothing are sent as far away as Africa, Bosnia and Peru....

HoneycombSale proceeds go into the 'Saved to Serve Trust' (Charity Reg. No. 516903), and are prayerfully used to meet needs of hardship and distress, both locally and worldwide. Several members of our church are involved both as shop helpers and charity trustees.
