At Ruddington Baptist Church we want to make sure there is a place for families to discover God and do this in a way that is comfortable for them, as we know how busy and chaotic family life can be.
We try to create an environment in which children and young people can meet with God, develop deep friendships with one another, openly ask the questions that are on their mind and find acceptance, love, care and support.
On the more “conventional” Sunday mornings (usually week 2 and week 4) children and young people meet in age related groups so they have their own time to explore the teachings of Jesus and go on the journey for themselves. For community Sundays (week 1) and café style services (some week 3s) we all join in together, including children and young people. On community Sundays there is often a youth breakfast before the other activities start.
As well as the chance to meet up on Sunday mornings, our young people (aged 10-14-ish and 14-18) meet on a Friday evening at The Hub. These groups are aimed at growing together in faith whilst having a good time. Food is usually involved!
