James Middleton

Hello, I’m James Middleton, and I’m delighted to be serving as the Minister at Ruddington Baptist Church. I was drawn here by the warmth, friendliness, and genuine sense of community within the church. I’m married to Nicola who I met in 2004, and we’ve been married since 2010. We have two wonderful daughters who keep life full of joy and energy. Outside of church, I enjoy sport, the gym, good food, and spending time with family and friends. My life changed in 2016 when I became a Christian, a moment that gave me clarity, purpose, and a passion for helping others explore faith in a real and meaningful way. I had a totally different career before ministry work and spent around 30 years as a tennis coach, working internationally in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and the USA as well as multiple cities in the UK. What excites me most is seeing lives transformed, whether through people discovering faith or growing deeper in it. I love welcoming new people and helping them find their place in both the church and the wider community. I hope many more people will come to see how great the church is — full of fun, joy, and a desire to serve the community — and choose to become part of it themselves.
