We had a great time this past Sunday at our Muddy Nativity service led by Mark Holden. We began the service at St Peter’s Rooms where collected costumes and set the scene for a journey through the Christmas story. We then made our way outside to the Hermitage garden which became Bethlehem for the purpose of this event. We had a lot of fun hearing the story read from the bible, meeting a very grumpy inn keeper, making angels as a craft exercise and quickly trying to build a stable out of a gazebo with very little instructions. In the end the scene was set for the baby Jesus to placed in the manger a reminder of the words of the angels to the Shepherds ‘today in the town of David a Saviour is to be born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
Join us for more fun and celebration on Christmas Day 10am at St Peter’s Rooms.
