Time with God Every Day

It is good to dedicate some time every day to reminding ourselves of God’s presence, and seeing how he wants to guide us and help us grow today.

You may be happy to just sit quietly with God, maybe read a bit of the bible and pause. But lots of people find it helpful to have something to support this time.

Lectio365

Ness says: I use this every day and find it very good on an emotional as well as an intellectual level. It’s good at helping you to pause, reflect and pray. They have a variety of voices, from people of different cultures.

Lectio for families

Chris: The Bible Project make loads of really engaging and accessible videos about bible books and themes. The weekly playlist in the app takes you through several related videos and articles each week, at your own pace.

First15

Matt says: I use First15 which is a good way to start the day. It doesn’t take too long and it’s quite application heavy.

Mike says: I’ve been using Become New recently, sometimes as the heart of my quiet time and sometimes as an add on. There are multiple old series to dip into, though if you register, you get an email each day with a link to a video. Exactly the same content is offered in podcast form. What is it? 12 minutes teaching on a theme or passage delivered in accessible form. The quality is good.
