Earlier this year we identified a desire for ‘more prayer’ amongst members of Ruddington Baptist Church. We believe that in order to see God’s Kingdom being built in our church, community and world we must first be digging deeper in our relationship with God.
But this raises some questions: Why pray? How should we pray? Where do we start? How do we speak to God? How does God speak to us? How do we know if we are doing it right? Does my prayer life need to look like everyone else’s?
Starting on Sunday 8th September Ruddington Baptist Church will be exploring an 8 week course designed to help us both individually and collectively deepen our prayer lives. We believe that prayer is essential to the Christian life and is our way of relating to our creator and Father God.
In this course we will be learning, through videos on Sunday mornings and small group studies in the week, about 7 essential elements of prayer; adoration, petition, intercession, unanswered prayer, contemplation, listening and spiritual warfare. We will also be taking time at every meeting to put into practice what we have learnt. Visit ‘the prayer course’ website for more details: https://prayercourse.org/about/
This invitation to go deeper with God is open to all who wish to journey with us. Find us online at www.ruddingtonbaptist.org.uk or join us on a Sunday morning, 10:30am at St Peter’s Rooms in Ruddington.
